How Invoicing Works

Invoicing helps you create professional invoices, send them to your customers, record payments, and keep track of what you’ve collected — all from Atto.

Opening Invoicing

Open Invoicing from the shortcut on your Dashboard.

As an Admin, you can manage company details, permissions, invoice numbering, default terms, and payment reminders from Settings > Invoicing.

The invoicing workflow

The usual invoicing workflow looks like this:

  1. Set up your company and invoice preferences.

  2. Add or select the Customer you’re billing.

  3. Create the invoice and review its details.

  4. Send the invoice to your Customer.

  5. Record full or partial payments.

  6. Track the remaining balance and recent activity.

What you can manage

Invoicing brings the main billing tasks together in one place. You can:

  • Manage Customer records.

  • Create, send, and download invoices.

  • Search and filter invoices.

  • Record full and partial payments.

  • Track invoiced, collected, outstanding, and overdue amounts.

  • Review invoice balances and recent activity.

Managing access for your team

As an Admin, you can decide how Managers and Employees work with Invoicing. Review their access under Settings > Invoicing > Roles & Permissions.
