Have questions about requesting time off in Atto? Here are the most commonly asked questions to help you navigate the feature with ease.


1. Can I request multiple days off at once?

Yes! You can select multiple dates in a single request instead of submitting separate entries. Simply tap all the specific dates you need off, enter the number of hours per day, and submit. The Repeats option will already be applied if the same hours apply to all selected days.

2. What happens if my request expires?

If a request isn’t approved or rejected before the first requested day of leave, it automatically expires. Expired requests won’t be added to your timesheet, and you’ll need to submit a new request if you still need time off.


3. Can I cancel or modify a submitted request?

  • If your request is pending, you can edit or cancel it before approval.
  • If it’s already approved, you’ll need to contact an admin or manager to make changes.

4.Can I request time off for past dates?

No. Time off requests can only be made for future dates. If you need to correct past time off, your admin or manager must manually adjust it.
 

5. How can I check the status of my time off request?

You’ll receive a notification when your request is approved, rejected, or expires. You can also check the status anytime under Dashboard > Time Off.

  • Upcoming Requests → Shows requests with future leave dates (Pending, Approved, or Rejected).
  • Past Requests → Includes requests with at least one past date (Approved, Rejected, or Expired).

If a request is pending, it’s waiting for approval. Approved requests are added to your timesheet, while rejected requests are archived. If a request isn’t reviewed in time, it expires and won’t be added to your timesheet.


6. Can admins or managers request time off for employees?

Yes. Admins and managers can manually add time off on behalf of employees when needed. This is useful for adjusting leave records or correcting missed requests.


7. Where can I see my time off history?

Go to Dashboard >Time Off to view your full time off history, including approved, rejected, and expired requests.


8. What happens if my request is rejected?

If your request is rejected, you’ll receive a notification. You can submit a new request for different dates or check with your admin or manager for clarification.


9. Will my time off be reflected in my reports?

Yes! Approved time off automatically appears in your timesheets and reports, ensuring accurate payroll calculations.
