Customizing Time Off Settings (For Admins)

Atto gives admins full control over how time off requests are handled. You can define leave types, decide who can approve requests, and ensure everything aligns with your company’s time off policies.


Accessing Time Off Settings

To configure your preferences:

  • Go to Settings > Time Off Preferences

  • Toggle Time Off Requests ON to allow employees to submit time off


Customizing Time Off Policies

Define Leave Types

Create and manage time off categories such as:

  • Vacation

  • Sick Leave

  • Personal Leave

  • Other custom options

Employees will only see the options made available by the admin.

Enable or Disable Manager Approvals

Decide who can handle approval workflows:

  • Keep it limited to admins (default), or

  • Allow managers to approve and reject requests for their teams


Approval Workflow Options

Admin-Only Approval (Default)

By default, only admins can approve or reject time off requests.

Require Manager Approval

If enabled:

  • Managers can view, approve, or reject requests submitted by team members

  • They will receive a notification each time a new request is submitted

This helps distribute responsibility while keeping control centralized if needed.
