How to Submit a Time Off Request in Atto

Atto makes it easy to request time off and stay on top of your leave records. Whether you’re taking a vacation or need a day off for personal reasons, here’s how to submit and manage your request.


Start a Time Off Request

You can start from multiple places:

  • Dashboard → Tap the ➕ icon at the top right

  • Or go to:

    • Reports → ➕ → Add Time Off

    • Dashboard > Time Off → ➕ → Add Time Off


Enter Time Off Details

  • Add Dates → Select each day you want to request off. You can choose multiple days in one request.

  • Time Off Code → Choose a code (e.g., Vacation, Sick Time). These are set up by your admin and may vary by company.

  • Hours Per Day → Enter the number of hours you’re requesting for each selected day.

  • Add a Note (Optional) → Include any extra context for your manager (e.g., “doctor’s appointment,” “out of town”).


Submit Your Request

Once all details are filled in, tap Send Request.

Your request will appear as Pending until it’s reviewed by an admin or manager.

You’ll receive a notification when your request is:

  • ✔ Approved → Time off is added to your timesheet and visible in reports.

  • ❌ Rejected → You can submit a new request if needed.

  • ⚠️ Expired → If no one approves it before the first date, the request will expire and won’t be added to your records.


Track Your Request Status

Go to Dashboard > Time Off to view your requests:

  • ⏳ Pending → Waiting for admin or manager review.

  • ✔ Approved → Confirmed and added to your timesheet.

  • ❌ Rejected → Not approved and archived.

  • ⚠️ Expired → Not reviewed before the first requested date; not added to your timesheet.


Edit or Cancel a Request

  • Edit a Pending Request → Open the request, make changes, and resend it.

  • Cancel a Pending Request → Tap Cancel Request to remove it from your list.

  • Approved Requests → Only an admin or manager can cancel or modify them.

  • Expired Requests → You’ll need to submit a new one if time off is still needed.
