Setting Time Off Codes

Managing time off codes in Atto ensures your team’s absences are recorded accurately, categorized correctly, and aligned with company policies. Atto makes it easy to set this up in just a few steps.


Default Time Off Codes

Atto includes the following built-in codes by default:

  • Vacation

  • Sick Time

  • Personal Leave

These codes are automatically available to all users and can be used without additional setup.


How to Add a New Time Off Code

  1. Go to Settings > Time Off Preferences

  2. Click “Add Time Off Code”

  3. Enter a name for your new time off code

  4. Choose the type:

    • Paid

    • Unpaid

  5. Click “Add Time Off Code” to save


Using Time Off Codes in Atto

Time off codes are used when:

  • Submitting time off requests (by employees)

  • Adding time off manually (by managers or admins)

| 📌 Note: If the Time Off Requests feature is enabled, manual entry is disabled to ensure centralized tracking and approvals.
