Tracking Your Time Off Requests
Once you submit a time off request, you can track its status in the Time Off Requests page.
-
Upcoming Tab → Shows all time off requests where the first day of leave hasn’t started yet. This includes requests that are approved, pending, or rejected.
-
Past Tab → Displays time off requests where at least one of the requested days has already passed. You’ll find all approved, rejected, and expired requests here.
Understanding Request Statuses
⏳Pending → The request is waiting for review and approval.
✔ Approved→ The time off is confirmed and added to your timesheet.
❌ Rejected → The request was not approved and is archived. You will receive a notification.
⚠️ Expired → If a request isn’t reviewed before the first requested date arrives, it automatically expires and won’t be added to your timesheet.
Managing Time Off Requests (Admins & Managers)
Admins and managers can review and process time off requests from the Dashboard.
-
View and Manage Requests
-
Go to Dashboard > Time Off > Team to see all submitted requests.
-
Approve or Reject a Request
-
Open a request and review the details.
-
If Approved, the time off will automatically be added to the employee’s timesheet and reflected in reports.
-
If Rejected, the request is archived, and the employee is notified.
-
Handling Conflicts Before Approval
-
When approving a request, Atto automatically checks for conflicts with:
-
Any existing scheduled shifts during the requested time off.
-
Previously approved time off for the same period.
-
-
All conflicts must be resolved before the request can be approved.
-
Filter Requests
-
Use Member, Status, or Date filters to quickly find specific time off requests.
Admin-Added Time Off Requests
-
When an admin manually adds time off, it is automatically approved and instantly added to the employee’s timesheet.
-
Employees do not need to submit a request when an admin enters time off on their behalf.
Approved Time Off & Reports
-
Approved requests are logged in Reports > Time Off, where admins can review past leave records.
-
Additionally, approved time off is reflected in timesheets and timesheet reports as either Paid Time Off or Unpaid Time Off, depending on the leave type. Paid time off entries are included in est. pay calculations based on the user’s default pay rate.
-
If necessary, admins can cancel an approved request, and the time off entry will be removed from the employee’s timesheet.
