Creating and Assigning Shifts

Atto makes it simple to create and assign shifts that fit your team’s needs. Whether you’re scheduling one person or posting open shifts for others to claim, the process is flexible and easy to manage.


How to Create a Shift

  1. Open the Scheduling page

  2. Tap the βž• icon to start creating a new shift

  3. Enter the following details:

    • Date – Select the date for the shift

      πŸ“Œ You can choose multiple dates to apply the same shift to multiple days

    • Start and End Times – Define the duration of the shift

    • Job Site – (Optional) Choose the location if your team works across multiple sites


Assigning Team Members

Once shift details are filled in, you can assign it in one of two ways:

  • One or More Employees

    • Select specific team members for the shift

    • You can assign job codes to each person individually if needed

  • Open Shifts

    • Mark the shift as open so it can be claimed by any available team member

    • Set the number of available spots and assign a job code to clarify the task


Managing Overlaps and Conflicts

If a shift overlaps with an existing one or a scheduled time off, Atto will alert you. This ensures that team members are available and no scheduling conflicts occur.
