To safeguard against unauthorized clock-ins outside of designated job sites, Atto offers the "Clock In Restrictions" feature. Enabling this feature ensures that team members can only clock in when they are physically present at an approved job site.
Enabling Clock In Restrictions
- Go to the "Settings" page.
- Select the "Job Sites" option.
- Locate the "Clock In Restrictions" setting and toggle it to the "On" position.
Enforcing Job Site Presence
With Clock In Restrictions enabled, team members will be restricted from initiating clock-in actions unless they are located within the confines of one of the predefined job sites. For detailed instructions on setting job sites, refer to this help center article: Adding & Managing Job Sites
Clock-Out Flexibility
For security reasons, Atto allows team members to clock out even if they are not physically present at a designated job site. This flexibility caters to situations where clocking out may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the clock-out location will be recorded and made available for the account administrator to review.
Benefits of Clock In Restrictions
Implementing Clock In Restrictions offers several advantages, including:
- Enhanced Time Tracking Accuracy: Prevents unauthorized clock-ins from outside job sites, ensuring that time tracking reflects actual work hours.
- Improved Payroll Processing: Facilitates accurate payroll calculations by eliminating time entries from outside job sites.
- Strengthened Security: Safeguards against unauthorized access to work hours and potential abuse of time tracking privileges.
By implementing Clock In Restrictions and following the recommended practices, you can effectively manage clock-in behavior and ensure accurate time tracking for your team.
