There are four main types of pay periods:

  • Weekly: Employees are paid once a week, typically on Friday.

  • Biweekly: Employees are paid every two weeks, on a specific day of the week.

  • Semimonthly: Employees are paid twice a month, on specific dates.

  • Monthly: Employees are paid once a month, on a specific day.

These pay periods offer flexibility to accommodate various payroll scheduling needs, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your organization and employees.
