How to Create Job Codes

Atto’s Job Code feature helps you organize and categorize work across tasks, projects, or clients. With clear job tracking, you gain insights into how time is spent and improve reporting accuracy across your team.


Adding a New Job Code

  1. Go to Settings > Job Codes

  2. Tap “Add Job Code”

  3. Enter a name for the new job code

  4. Tap “Add” to save


Deleting a Job Code

  1. Go to Settings > Job Codes

  2. On mobile, tap “Edit”, then delete the job code from the list

📌 Note: Deleted job codes will still appear in historical timecards and reports for recordkeeping purposes.


Editing a Job Code

  1. Go to Settings > Job Codes

  2. Tap “Edit” or the pen icon next to the job code

  3. Update the job code name

  4. Tap “Done” or “Save Changes”

📌 Note: The updated name will automatically apply to all existing time entries using that job code.


Require Job Codes on Clock In (Optional)

To ensure that every shift is categorized properly:

  1. Go to Settings > Job Codes

  2. Toggle “Require Jobs on Clock In” ON

Once enabled, team members will be prompted to select a job code each time they clock in.


By using Job Codes, you can streamline team activity tracking, improve visibility into project time allocation, and generate more insightful reports for decision-making.
