Effective overtime management is crucial for any business, and Atto's customizable settings make it straightforward. Here's how you can tailor overtime tracking to fit your company's needs:

Accessing Overtime Settings:

  1. Go to Settings in your Atto account.
  2. Select Workweek & Overtime to view overtime options.

Customizing Overtime Preferences:

  • Weekly Overtime: Define the regular weekly hours for each team member that qualify as overtime. Set the rate multiplier for overtime hours.
  • Daily Overtime: Define the regular daily work hours for each team member that qualify as daily overtime. Set the rate multiplier for overtime hours.
  • Daily Double Overtime: Establish the threshold for daily double overtime and its corresponding rate multiplier.
  • 7th Day Overtime: For employees working seven consecutive days, the first eight hours on the seventh day are paid at the overtime rate, with hours beyond that at double the rate. Ensure you configure this setting to acknowledge their extra effort appropriately.

Further Customization with Advanced Pay Settings:

Beyond basic overtime, Atto allows detailed settings for special circumstances:

  • Weekend Overtime: For Saturday and/or Sunday work, you can apply specific overtime rates if your operational policies require it.

  • Public Holidays: Automatically consider all work on public holidays as overtime. Select existing holidays or add custom ones, assigning unique rates for each. Remember to refresh your holiday list each year for accuracy.

  • Night Shift Overtime: Specify night hours that are eligible for overtime and set a unique pay rate for this period.

By adjusting these settings, you align your overtime practices with your company's operational needs and standards, ensuring accurate payroll processing and maintaining a transparent workplace.
