How to integrate to Xero

Simplify timesheet exports and automate payroll by connecting Atto with your Xero account. With one click, your team’s hours are ready for payroll in Xero.


| Note: Atto currently supports integration with Xero Australia and Xero United Kingdom accounts only.


Before You Start

Make sure your Xero account is fully set up with:

  • All employee records

  • Pay items

  • Pay calendars

This ensures smooth data mapping during setup.


How to Connect Atto to Xero

1. Open the Atto Web App

Go to Settings > Integrations

2. Find Xero under Payroll

Click Connect under the Xero integration section.

3. Authorize Access

Select your organization from the dropdown and click Allow Access.


Set Up Integration Preferences

Once connected, complete the following setup steps:

Import Your Pay Items

Map each Xero pay item to the matching category in Atto.

  • You can select only one pay item per category.

  • Atto auto-categorizes Regular and Overtime hours based on your settings.

Import Your Team

Match each employee in Xero with their corresponding profile in Atto.

  • Uncheck any employees you don’t wish to import.

  • If someone hasn’t been added to Atto yet, select Invite Employee and enter their email.

    They’ll be synced automatically after setting up their Atto account.


That’s It — You’re Connected!


Your Atto and Xero accounts are now integrated.

You can export timesheets with a single click for streamlined payroll processing.
