How to get Automated Timesheet Reports

Atto automatically emails a detailed timesheet report to the account owner based on your payroll period schedule. These reports help ensure payroll accuracy and visibility into team activity — without manual effort.


Enable Automated Email Reports

To turn on automated reports:

  • On the mobile app: Go to Settings > Automated Reports

  • On the web: Go to Settings > Timesheet Report

Then:

  1. Switch on Email Report

    This activates automated delivery of your timesheet reports.

  2. Choose your Workweek Start Day

  3. Select your Payroll Period Schedule

  4. If required by your schedule, set the relevant closing dates.

  5. Save your changes.


Payroll Period Schedule Options

The schedule you select determines how often reports are sent:

  • Weekly – Report sent every week, covering a full workweek

  • Bi-Weekly – Report sent every other week. Choose the nearest closing date of your payroll cycle

  • Semi-Monthly – Report sent twice a month, covering hours up to two specified dates

  • Monthly – Report sent once per month, with hours included up to a selected day

  • Custom – Report sent weekly, covering only the selected weekdays


When Reports Are Delivered

Your timesheet report is emailed the morning after your payroll period closes.


Download Reports Manually (Optional)

If you need a report outside of your automated cycle, you can download it anytime in the app or on the web.


Add Additional Recipients

To include additional team members, make sure they are assigned as Admins in your Atto account. Then, send us their full name using this contact form, and we’ll add them to the distribution list.
