Why "Location Permissions OFF" Appears in Team Activity & How to Solve It

In Atto, location tracking depends on device-level permissions. If you see a team member’s status marked as “Location Permissions OFF” in the Team Activity tab, it means Atto can’t access their location due to disabled permissions on their device.


What It Means

The message appears when:

  • A team member is on the clock, but

  • Location permissions have been turned off for the Atto app on their phone.

This commonly happens when a user manually disables location access after clocking in.


How to Fix It


To resolve the issue:

  1. Notify the Team Member

    Let them know their location is not updating due to disabled permissions.

  2. Ask Them to Re-Enable Location Access

    They should check their phone settings and re-enable location permissions for Atto.

  3. Use This Help Article for Guidance

Once permissions are enabled again, Atto will resume tracking their location during work hours.
