How to Prevent Users From Clocking In if They're Located Outside of a Job Site

Atto’s Clock In Restrictions feature helps ensure that team members clock in only when they’re at a designated job site. This improves accuracy and provides peace of mind that time tracking reflects where work begins.


How to Enable Clock In Restrictions

  1. Go to Settings in your Atto account

  2. Select Job Sites

  3. Toggle Clock In Restrictions to ON

Once enabled, team members will only be able to clock in when they are physically located within the boundary of an approved job site.


How It Works

  • If a team member is outside a job site, the clock-in button will not be available.

  • To clock in, they need to be within range of a job site set by an admin.

Clock-Out Flexibility

Even with restrictions in place, team members can still clock out from any location. This makes room for real-life situations where someone might leave a job site before ending their shift. Their clock-out location will be recorded and available for admin review.
