Atto gives you the option to display work hours in decimal format, which can make payroll calculations, reporting, and time analysis much easier. Instead of seeing time in hours and minutes (e.g., 8h 30m), decimal format shows it as 8.50, helping standardize your timekeeping across the board.
How to Enable Decimal Hours
Go to Settings > Time Options
Enable the toggle for Use Decimal Hours
Once enabled, all timecards will be displayed in decimal format — including daily totals, job code hours, and timesheet reports.
What Changes with Decimal Format?
8h 15m becomes 8.25
7h 45m becomes 7.75
6h 30m becomes 6.50
This applies throughout the app and in reports, helping you streamline calculations for payroll and performance tracking.
Why Use Decimal Format?
Easier Payroll Calculations – Save time by avoiding manual conversions
Consistency – Use a standardized format for all hours logged
Improved Reporting – Align your reports with external payroll systems or spreadsheets that require decimal inputs
