Employee Onboarding Requirements

Setting up your Atto Payroll account is quick and straightforward once you receive an invite from your employer. To complete the onboarding process, employees will need to provide the following information:


1. Employee Demographic Information

  • Full Name (First and Last)

  • Residential Address

  • Social Security Number (SSN)

  • Date of Birth


2. Direct Deposit Information

  • Connect your bank account securely using Plaid, a trusted financial data provider used by millions of people worldwide.


3. Tax Withholding Information

  • Federal Income Tax Withholding – Based on your W-4 form

  • State Income Tax Withholding – Set according to your state’s form or local laws

    | Note: Some states do not require income tax withholding.


4. Post-Tax Deductions (if applicable)

  • Deduction type and description

  • Amount to be deducted per pay period

| Note: Recurring benefits, garnishments, and child support are added by your employer after you’ve completed your payroll account setup.


Providing complete and accurate information during onboarding helps ensure smooth payroll processing and compliance from day one.
