To ensure team members are paid accurately and on time, it’s important to submit payroll by the appropriate deadline. Atto offers two payroll processing timelines based on your account setup and payroll history.
Payroll Processing Timelines
4-Day Processing (default for new companies)
Payroll must be submitted at least 4 business days before payday.
Example: For a Friday payday, payroll must be submitted by Monday at 5 PM ET.
2-Day Processing (available to eligible companies)
Payroll must be submitted at least 2 business days before payday.
Example: For a Friday payday, payroll must be submitted by Wednesday at close of business.
How to Qualify for 2-Day Processing
You may be eligible for 2-day payroll processing if your company meets either of the following:
You’ve successfully run payroll for 10 consecutive cycles without interruptions.
You submit a recent Balance Sheet for review.
