The Company Review Process After Onboarding

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Once your company has completed onboarding with Atto Payroll, our team begins a final review to verify your information and confirm that your payroll setup meets compliance requirements.

Review Timeline: Up to 3 Business Days

We aim to complete the company review within 3–4 business days. During this time, our specialists verify your business information and determine your payroll processing eligibility.

What We Review

1. Fraud Review

We verify that your company accurately represents its business type, operations, and payroll needs. This step helps protect against misuse and confirms legitimacy.

2. Regulatory Review

We confirm that your company is a registered legal entity and meets eligibility requirements for payroll services. This includes:

  • Verifying business registration

  • Checking that your company or key individuals are not listed on U.S. government sanctions lists

Possible Outcomes

2-Day Payroll Approval

You’re approved for payroll with a 2-business-day processing timeline. This is standard for companies that have run payroll before.

4-Day Payroll Approval (Default)

New companies or those without prior payroll history are approved with a 4-business-day processing timeline.

Optional Upgrade to 2-Day

If you’re on the 4-day approval path, you can request a faster 2-day turnaround by submitting two months of business bank statements showing sufficient balance to cover payroll.

Additional Documents Required

In some cases, more documentation may be needed before we can complete your review.

Not Supported / Denied

If your company falls into a restricted industry or does not meet our compliance criteria, we may be unable to support your account.

What Happens Next

Once approved, your company can begin submitting payroll. Be sure to follow your assigned timeline (2-day or 4-day) to avoid delays in employee payments.
