Setting Up Notifications and Alerts for Scheduling

Notifications in Atto help your team stay informed about shift assignments, updates, and responsibilities. Employees can customize reminders and alerts to stay on track, while admins can enable essential scheduling notifications.


Shift Reminders

Customize reminders to help you stay on track with your shift schedule:

  • Shift Start Time – Choose to get notified a little before your shift begins.

  • Shift End Time – Turn this on if you’d like a heads-up when your shift ends.


Missed Clock In/Out Alerts

Stay on top of time tracking with helpful nudges:

  • Missed Clock In Reminder – If you haven’t clocked in after your shift starts, a notification will alert you

  • Missed Clock Out Reminder – Be notified if you forget to clock out

You can also set how long after the missed clock-in or clock-out the reminder should appear (e.g., 10, 30, or 60 minutes).


Shift Notifications

Get real-time updates on scheduling activity:

  • Schedule Updates – Get notified when you’re assigned to a new shift

  • Existing Shift Updates – Receive alerts when one of your assigned shifts is edited

  • Trade & Cover Requests – Stay updated when someone sends, accepts, or declines a shift trade or cover request


How to Manage Notifications

To adjust your notification settings:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications in the Atto app

  2. Toggle ON or OFF the alerts you want to enable

  3. Choose reminder timing for missed clock-ins/outs

  4. Make sure your device settings allow Atto to send notifications

| If notifications aren’t showing up, check your phone’s system settings to ensure Atto is allowed to send alerts.


Notifications and reminders help reduce missed shifts, improve attendance, and keep everyone aligned with the schedule.
