Atto’s Scheduling Settings give Admins and Account Owners full control over shift visibility, employee permissions, and clock-in preferences. These options help you tailor scheduling based on your team’s workflow and company policies.
1. Team Schedule Visibility
Employee Access
Enable this setting to let team members with an Employee role view the entire team’s schedule.
ON: Employees can see all team shifts — ideal for open coordination and transparency.
OFF: Employees can only view their assigned shifts — useful for privacy or focused scheduling.
2. Shift Request Permissions
Control which shift actions your team can request on their own. These permissions affect what options appear when an employee taps Request on a scheduled shift.
Trade Shift Requests: Employees can ask to trade their shift with a teammate.
Cover Shift Requests: Employees can request someone else to cover their shift.
Drop Shifts: Employees can request to drop a shift, allowing others to pick it up.
All three options must be enabled for employees to request shift trades, covers, or drops directly in the app.
3. Time Clock Preferences
These settings give you extra control over when employees can clock in — helping to align time tracking with scheduled shifts.
Prevent Early Clock Ins
Blocks employees from clocking in too early before their shift.
⤷ Use this to avoid inflating hours and to promote shift accuracy.
Prevent Unscheduled Clock-Ins
Stops employees from clocking in unless they are assigned to a shift.
⤷ Helpful for managing unauthorized hours or enforcing scheduled work only.
These controls offer a flexible framework to ensure your scheduling, shift changes, and clock-ins stay aligned with internal policies and expectations.
