Managing and Publishing Shifts

Updated over a week ago

Atto makes it easy to review, publish, and update shifts — helping managers maintain a reliable schedule while keeping employees informed in real time.

Draft Mode vs. Published Shifts

When a shift is created, it remains in Draft mode by default.

In Draft mode:

  • Shifts are only visible to managers and admins

  • You can make final adjustments, check for errors, or resolve conflicts (like overlapping shifts or time-off requests)

Publishing Shifts

Once shifts are reviewed and ready:

  1. Tap “Publish Shifts”

  2. Atto will immediately send notifications to assigned employees

    • They’ll be alerted about new or updated shifts

    • This ensures everyone knows their schedule and helps avoid missed shifts

Editing or Removing Published Shifts

Managers can edit or delete shifts even after they’ve been published.

  • Any updates made to published shifts will automatically send updated notifications to affected employees

  • This flexibility helps teams adapt quickly to last-minute changes

Why It’s Helpful

  • Keeps draft shifts private while you finalize details

  • Ensures clear communication with automatic alerts

  • Supports quick adjustments to keep your schedule up to date

Publishing shifts in Atto is designed to give managers control and flexibility while ensuring the whole team stays informed and aligned.
