Getting Started with Scheduling in Atto

Updated over a month ago

Atto’s Scheduling feature helps teams create, view, and manage shifts with ease. Whether you’re assigning shifts or checking your own, the layout is built for visibility, flexibility, and real-time awareness.

What You Can Do with Scheduling

  • View Schedules by Role

    • Employees see only their shifts in “My Shifts”

    • Managers see full team coverage in “All Shifts”

  • Claim Open Shifts

    • Shifts marked as open can be picked up by employees, offering flexibility and extra hours

  • Drop Shifts (Employees)

    • If changes come up, employees can drop shifts

    • Managers are notified and can reassign as needed

Main Scheduling Views

At the top of the Scheduling page, you’ll find three main views:

  1. All Shifts

    • Shows every scheduled shift across the team for the selected week

    • Helps managers monitor coverage and identify open slots

  2. Open Shifts

    • Displays unassigned shifts that are available for employees to claim

  3. My Shifts

    • Shows only the shifts assigned to the logged-in employee for a personalized view

Navigating Weekly and Daily Schedules

  • The default view shows the current week

  • Use the left/right arrows to move between weeks

  • Click any date to view shift details for that day

Why It’s Useful

  • Clear visual layout makes planning easier

  • Open shift claiming gives teams more flexibility

  • Managers stay informed with real-time updates when shifts are dropped or picked up

With just a few taps, you can view your schedule, manage changes, or monitor your team’s availability — all from one place.
