What is a time entry overlap?
A time entry overlap can occur when you add or edit a time entry and there is an existing time entry on the same day.
In such instances, if the added/edited clock in/out time overlaps with the clock in/out times from the existing time entry, you will be prompted an error message. You can tap on
View existing entries to get additional information on the time entry that is causing the overlap error. You can then decide to delete the existing time entry or make adjustments to the clock in/out times on the time entry you’re adding/editing.
While adding entries to a new time card, it is important to know that:
- A break cannot start or end outside of the clock in and out times
- A job cannot start or end outside of the clock in and out times
- A job cannot start or end during a break time period
