How to enable and manage departments
Atto allows you to separate your team into departments for easier management and reporting. You can assign specific managers to a department and allow the managers to review timesheet activity for that department only. A member can be assigned as a manager to several departments.
To enable departments for your account:
- Go to Settings > Departments
- Turn “Departments” ON.
After you’ve enabled departments, you can follow the instructions below to manage your team members and departments.
To add a new department:
- Go to Settings > Departments
- Click “Add New Department”
- Enter a name for the department
- Click “Add”
To add team members to a department:
- Go to Settings > Departments
- Select the department
- Click “Add Members”
- Select the team members from the list
- Click “Add Members’”
NOTE: One team member can be a part of one department only.
To remove team members from a department:
- Go to Settings > Departments
- Select the department you need to manage the members for
- Tap on edit and select the team members from the list
To remove a department:
- Go to Settings > Departments
- Tap on edit and select the department from the list
NOTE: All team members part of the department you’ve just removed will be assigned to the default “No Department” list
